|971121-0212 LITTON PART.. FAIRLY RARE PART TO BE SURE. I have advised Gaetan that I will do some research on this part. He has sent me samples
of parts in his inventory to examine. I dont have this part ..but Gaetan has a few of them. Could go for big bucks. Will be a controlled sale according
to Controlled Goods Legislation. Buyer must be an approved buyer for this part. It is not for hobby use.
|Another RARE part. Gaetan sent me these two as
I have not found specific information about them

-----MY BIG SUPERLIST OF PARTS has a list of the Inventory I have here in Elliot Lake.
|I dont think the RF transistor
pictured to the left is RARE..
but it is featured in quite a few
web pages that are by suppliers of
rare and obsolete, hard to find and
long lead time items.
Probably for government, Military
I found quite a few sites that say
they have these transistors but
they dont give out the price or the
YOu have to go RFQ..and I didnt
want to be a tire kicker and do that.
So..anyways..Gaetan has more of
these and in matched pairs. I think
he told me he had 14 pairs.
Nice looking RF power transistors

BY EMAIL..YOU CAN EMAIL ME (I AM
ALWAYS CHECKING MY EMAIL DAILY)
email@example.com My name is
Earl Andrews of earlandrews.com and
www.hamelectronicsmagazine.com -- I
have been working with components and
old radio repairs and radio parts ect..
since 2005. In 2005 I took early retirement
from a job as a civilian with defence in the
electronics components division.
|Each day now since mid January (2014) .I
have been going through the many samples
that Gaetan has sent me.
I photograph them and write the part numbers
down and research them and try and find
prices for the items. -- IT IS A BIG JOB!
MY BIG SUPERLIST OF PARTS now contains
quite a few of Gaetans items as well as my
own stuff I sell. CLICK HERE TO LOOK AT

|The 844 and 944 are from old families of Logic Circuits (ICs) or Microcircuits
(proper item name in Nato Terminology is "Microcircuit, Digital". I can supply
data sheets and more information if you wish.
|There's lots more to be listed and catalogued. I am steadily working at it each day
this winter (2014).
Even if you dont see it pictured or listed on any of these pages..please feel free to
contact either and I can try and find it for you..

|1000 OHM - TYPE 1000 NSN 5905-01-008-2349 - HIGH END POTENTIOMETER (manufacturer Vernitron cage 84048) possibly Aircraft part. possible end item
Rockwell- PICTURE ON THIS PAGE - Gaetan has stock of these high end items. NOTE: The tolerance of the resistor itself is plus or minus 5 pct and this item is likely
what one would call a PRECISION RESISTOR because it has a plus or minus .5 pct tolerance which (I think is the tracking of the resistance along its range).
This is a very specific part for a specific use BUT.. it could be adapted to other uses. Vernitron is in St. Petersburg Florida.

THIS 944 PART. THE Motorola part number may be slightly different but
this is the DTL family of ICs and they are obsolete for manufacture but
are still in demand sometimes for older equipment. Gaetan has most of
the stock of these parts but I have some samples as well and they are up
|Raytheon Flat PACKs. Looked up NSN 5961-00-232-8191 and I
wrote an email 19/03/2014 to ISO organization and cc'd my email at
firstname.lastname@example.org on this one.
Making an inquiry on these items. -- When searching NSN with
YAHOO search ..I came up with a page of aftermarket sellers and
information on the NSN and alternate part numbers ect.
|I used to work in the cataloguing and item identification and technical management side of things
with the Dept of National Defence..and I still remember alot of the codes you see below in the 2
screen capture screens for the NSN of this
SA2498 Semiconductor Devices, Unitized. -- It has 6 leads. I would venture to say it is two NPN
transistors on a common substrate. Likely..the transistors are matched or fairly close in
characteristic to each other.
As such..I would not say this device is anything special. -- ie advanced technology. -- So I have
offered it up for sale to one aftermarket military seller I found on the web who also lists these items.
-- I may offer it to some others. Anyways..I have them here in storeage in their original packages and
if anyone is interested I could give a quote on a price.
|Below: some of those codes..(this was a PUBLIC LOOKUP) on
the DLIS - Defence Logistics Information System.
The part number has codes associated with it. The RNCC 5 and
RNVC code 9 means it is obsolete part. --Could be the part was
discontinued and a slightly better part was manufactured or it
could mean that the company went out of business?
The other part number associated with part number -- see the
green highlighted one..is a RNCC 5, RNVC 2 - which is a good
part number to go out and try and buy. It means (probably in
this case) the actual part number on the part and their is a cage
code for the company.
The rncc 3, rnvc 2 - is for the PRIME part number or reference
number..and in this case..it is a Raytheon Part and that would
be the MAIN part number to buy or look up on a drawing
perhaps or tech document.
|The price is probably not an open market price (UI PRICE). If I went to buy these types of parts from an aftermarket seller..I would expect to
pay more than this $17.78 that is listed.
The DMIL code stands for De Militarization Code and I think that A means -- not necessary to destroy these items..ie to keep them out of the hands of others.
-- Im going by memory here but it seems to jive with what Ive been able to determine about this item so far.
|I do some -- free information giving..to those who have questions about parts and electronics and even
to do with the above example of a Nato Stock Number (Federal STock nr. in the USA system). Im retired
now from that part of my life..but I dont mind helping individuals out and I work cheap from home!!!
HOW cheap?? $10 per hour sort of thing! -- you can email me email@example.com and I can
perhaps help you with questions ect. I even take electronic components as payment for small services!!
--->> MY HOBBY NOW..is collecting electronic components and researching them and using them in fact
in circuits I build/repair. I also sell components here and there. MY MAIN LIST OF PARTS is available on
the following page: http://www.earlandrews.com/superpn1
|THESE PARTS ARE ALL FROM
BELOW PICTURED.. I did a public search on the NSN on the FLIS public NSN look up and data below pictured. I did some interpretation of
the data and codes.
